MTK push two smart home system chip MT7688/MT7681

MT7688 has a built-in MIPS24KEc MHz/580MHz processor, 256MB of memory and AES128/256 encryption engine, which can handle more complex or data-intensive smart home devices, such as IP projectors and home monitoring systems.
On the afternoon of June 3, MediaTek launched two smart home system chips MT7688 and MT7681 during the 2014 Taipei Computer Show today. MT7688 is the industry's lowest power system chip, using Linux system, support 802.11n. The MT7681 is suitable for small appliances such as light bulbs, door locks and sockets.
MT7688 has a built-in MIPS24KEc MHz/580MHz processor, 256MB of memory and AES128/256 encryption engine, which can handle more complex or data-intensive smart home devices, such as IP projectors and home monitoring systems.
Its ultra-low power consumption is 40% lower than that of previous products, and it supports the Smart Connection smartphone application released by MediaTek.
However, MT7681 is mainly aimed at small devices such as light bulbs, door locks, sockets, etc. It supports 802.11n and can easily design network services for embedded devices. It integrates power management units, low noise amplifiers and radio frequency switches. All functions are integrated in a 40-pin 5*5mm package.
As for the Smart Connection mentioned just now, it is an application developed by MediaTek. It allows different smart home devices to be connected to each other under the same interface through WiFi network. It supports Android, iOS, Windows and Linux platforms, and also supports smart phones without MTK chips.
At present, MT7688 and MT7681 have been mass production, is expected in the second half of the finished product listed.
